WebSafe Crackerz is a spoof site. You'll find genuine safety information throughout the site, but we've surrounded it with a fictional story about gladhanders, liars, stalkers, bullies, security bouncers, detectives, fake companies and a big boss (the Baron), who runs the whole show. Why tell a story? Easy, because teenagers told us that learning about online safety is boring.
How do I play?To play the game, you must enter the Baron's CyberWorlds.
In 6 of these CyberWorlds there is a hidden code, which can only be won by defeating one of the Baron's UberGoons.
When you have gathered all 6 codes from each world you can return to the
homepage, unlock the safe and claim your prize.
- 1st register a username and password and then logon to the site (you can do all that from the homepage)
- Visit one of the CyberWorlds - you can get to them either from the homepage or the left hand nav bar
- Click the QUIZ link to challenge one of the Baron's UberGoons for the code
- If you don't know the answers to the quiz, take a closer look around the CyberWorld they're all in there!
- When you complete a CyberWorld, the LOCKED status changes on the homepage and left hand nav bar to CRACKED
- When all the sections are CRACKED, go to the homepage and unlock the safe
By reading the articles, playing the games and battling the UberGoons, you'll feel more confident about using the web and avoiding weird stuff.
