Losing your account to a thief can be a raw experience: u'll lose your privacy and the thief might change loads of other stuff about u, too. They can even send abusive e-mails to people in your address book, who will think it's u!
It's highly unlikely that somebody will risk breaking into a secure server just to hack into your e-mail. Most thieves actually know the person whose account they are stealing. That's how they get in.
Three steps to hack-proof Hotmail
1) Print out this page
2) Change your account profile information
3) Write the changes u've made onto the print out and keep that info top secret.
(If your account is stolen, u'll need to get in touch with the support team for your service.
Support will ask u about information in your profile and when u last used the account. If u have a print out, it'll be easier to answer their questions.
The safest way is to put fake information in your e-mail profile- stuff that only u know.
