Cruising the internet can do weird stuff to your machine. Dodgy sites contain code which will flood your screen with pop ups. Some will continue to pop up even when u've closed the site.

The trick with Popups is to close them using the Cross button, because clicking onto them could link you to another popup:

...and if u want to avoid the nasty stuff:
  • Don't run programs on strange websites
  • Don't visit dodgy sites on purpose
