IM in a chatroom
Some chatrooms allow u to have private conversations with other chat users. This makes things a lot more personal. If u like to chat in private, keep this in mind:
If things seem weird, just save the conversation...
Tell the person at the other end that u r saving
If that person gets edgy or asks u not to, u might have a weirdo on your hands...
IM on your machine
Instant messenger installed on your machine can be safer than chatrooms, but it all depends on who u want to invite into your chat.
When it comes to IM and strange people online,
a friend of a friend is no friend of mine.
U never have to take a message from any kind of stranger on MSN Messenger...
Set it so that all conversations are saved automatically...
And remember, other people can save all your conversations, too.
